Understand the changes behind a competitor’s website.
Competitor Spy monitors the public pages you select. It keeps retrieved versions and highlights observed differences, so you can review the source of each change.
SEO metadata and directives
Track page titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, robots directives, Open Graph metadata and structured data found in the retrieved HTML.
Links and page discovery
Review internal-link changes and discover URLs through a competitor’s sitemaps. Choose which discovered addresses to import into monitoring.
Published prices and offers
Notice changes to price or offer text when it appears in captured page content. Treat these as published signals to review, rather than verified inventory or checkout prices.
Page status and redirects
Review recorded HTTP results, final URLs and availability observations. Failed or partial captures are distinguishable from successful comparisons.

There is no access-request form or manual payment approval. These are the steps a new customer follows.
Choose a monthly plan
Select Starter, Professional or Agency. Each plan has clear limits for websites, saved pages, monthly page checks and retained history.
Create your account and verify your email
Register or sign in to your existing WorkToSocial customer account. Your selected plan is kept while you confirm your email.
Review the total and pay through Stripe
Enter your billing details and confirm monthly renewal. Stripe shows the applicable tax and final total before you pay by card.
Open your activated workspace
Access activates automatically after signed payment verification. On the payment confirmation, select Start working to open Competitor Spy.
Add websites and select pages
Add a competitor’s HTTPS website, discover its sitemap addresses and import the pages you want to monitor. Discovery alone does not start monitoring every URL.
Create a baseline, then compare
Run the first check to capture a baseline. Later successful checks show changes against saved versions. Use the permitted daily or weekly schedule and review results in your panel.
What you receive after payment
Your own customer workspace, the selected Competitor Spy limits, page monitoring, retained history, before/after comparisons and reporting. You manage competitor websites, imported pages and monitoring schedules yourself. Buying Competitor Spy does not activate Duplicate Auditor or Media & Social.

* Sites with more than 500 saved URLs use weekly checks. Checks are queued, not continuous or real-time. Retries can use additional page checks.
How the limits work
A website allowance is the number of competitor websites in your workspace. The page allowance is the number of saved monitored URLs across those websites. The monthly check allowance is separate: checking 100 pages once uses 100 page checks.
For example, Starter can hold 100 pages and provides 700 page checks per month. Rechecking pages or retrying unsuccessful requests uses more of the check allowance. Monitor the pages that matter most to your decisions.
Billing and control
Payment is monthly through Stripe, with applicable taxes shown before payment. Future renewals can be cancelled in My Subscriptions or the Stripe billing portal. Access continues through the period already paid.
History is retained according to your plan’s 30, 90 or 180-day window. Pause and resume monitoring from the workspace. Paid access is restricted once paid coverage expires.

What the service does not do
It does not measure search rankings, estimate traffic, provide a backlink index or access competitors’ advertising accounts. Observed changes do not prove that rankings or sales improved.
Monitoring is based on retrievable public HTML. Private pages, browser-only dynamic content and access-restricted resources may not be available. Competitor Spy does not bypass logins, robots restrictions, CAPTCHAs or paywalls. Screenshot monitoring is not included.
Check results reflect what could be retrieved at the capture time. A later comparable capture is needed before a new change can be identified.

What happens after I pay?
Stripe confirms your payment and WorkToSocial activates the Competitor Spy plan on your verified account automatically. Return to the checkout confirmation and select Start working. Add competitor websites, discover their pages, import your chosen URLs and run the first check. Payment does not automatically select competitors or start monitoring every page on the internet.
What does Competitor Spy monitor?
It checks the public HTML pages you import: page text, headings, titles, meta descriptions, canonical URLs, robots directives, structured data, Open Graph metadata and internal links. It also records HTTP results and final URLs. Published price and offer text can appear as signals when present in the retrieved content.
When will I see my first changes?
The first successful check creates a baseline. A later successful check of the same page is needed to compare versions and show changes. The first capture is not evidence of a historical change.
Are all discovered pages monitored automatically?
No. Sitemap discovery finds page addresses. You choose which URLs to import into monitoring, within your plan allowance. Newly discovered pages can be reviewed before you decide to monitor them.
How often are websites checked?
Starter supports weekly checks. Professional and Agency support daily or weekly checks for sites with up to 500 saved URLs. Sites with more than 500 saved URLs use weekly checks. Checks are queued and remain subject to your plan allowance and website availability; this is not real-time monitoring.
What counts towards my monthly checks?
A page check is an attempt to retrieve one monitored page. Checking 100 pages once uses 100 page checks. Repeated checks and retry attempts can use additional checks. Your plan also has separate limits for competitor websites, saved URLs and retained history.
Does it track rankings, traffic, ads or backlinks?
No. Competitor Spy records observed website changes. It does not provide search rankings, traffic estimates, advertising-account data or a backlink index. A page change alone does not prove a ranking or revenue effect.
Can it monitor private or JavaScript-only content?
It works with retrievable public HTML and respects access restrictions. It does not sign in to private areas or bypass robots rules, CAPTCHAs or paywalls. Content that requires browser-side JavaScript may not be captured. Screenshot monitoring is not included in the current service.
What happens if a page fails to load?
The result is shown as a failed, blocked or incomplete capture where applicable. A failed request is not automatically treated as proof that content or a page was removed. Review the recorded status and any later successful capture.
How do billing, cancellation and expiry work?
Plans renew monthly through Stripe, plus applicable taxes shown before payment. Cancel future renewal in My Subscriptions or the Stripe billing portal. Cancellation keeps access through the period already paid. Once paid coverage expires, paid monitoring access is restricted; a failed payment does not create a new paid period.
